38. Deadpool (PS3, 360)
Finally! The Merc with a Mouth gets the game he deserves. Wade Wilson is one of the Marvel Universe's most beloved characters. Although never making it to their flagship heroes list with Iron Man, Hulk and Spider-Man, he has built up quite a fan-base, and that is who this game was made for. I have been following Deadpool for the past seven years or so, and was excited to hear that he was getting his own game. I was excited, but also cautious. There were a number of ways that this game could have gone wrong, but luckily, the game came together perfectly and was fun enough to make it on this list. Although the gameplay could feel a bit dull at times, the cut-scenes, voice-overs, gags, jokes and insults were perfect. The game was supposed to be funny and that's exactly what it was.
Best Part: I would set the controller down to go do something and return to Deadpool's voice breaking the fourth wall by saying lines like: "Heeelllloo? Player? You there?" and "Let's go! Pick up the controller and play!"
37. Marvel: Ultimate Alliance (PS2, PS3, Xbox, 360)
Wow! Two Marvel games in a row! I'm not sure, but I think the first book I ever read was a comic book. I love comics, they're great, but sadly, any and all comic-to-game adaptations before Ultimate Alliance fell short. This game really changed that, however, and probably resulted in some of the most fun I've ever had with my PS2 (I'll be saying that a ton during this article, so get ready). I mean, what little kid hasn't wanted Iron Man, The Thing, Spider-Man and Wolverine on the same team? The story was okay, but what really made the gameplay fun was allowing a buddy to plug in another controller and join in the chaos (yeah, controllers weren't always wireless). I honestly think this game should have a higher spot on the list, but I put it here because there are better games out there, and I'm too lazy to move it. Its sequel, Ultimate Alliance 2, loosely follows the story of a great Marvel event, Civil War, but the game ruined the comics so badly and messed with everything the first game had right, so it will only be appearing as number one on my top 10,000 sequels worse than the original list...
Best Part: Finally unlocking those extra costumes for Elektra. It was definitely worth the side missions...
