26. Borderlands 1 & 2 (PS3, 360)
I like open-world games, I like comic-style art, and I loved Borderlands. While amazing graphics were all the craze, Borderlands stood out; it was different and just what I needed. None of my friends got into the game, so this was one that I would have to share with myself. It was a fun twist on first person shooters, and the sequel took all that was great from the first one and expanded on it, adding a ton more loot and loads of great guns.
Best Part: Borderland 2's stealthy class. Playing through the game as the ever-so-invisible ninja (rightly named Zero) provided the player with a fun way to live out their Snake Eyes-related G.I. Joe fantasies! Also, grabbing a couple of friends online and playing some co-op was great, except for when they took all the loot.
25. Call Of Duty 2 (360)
Did you ever want to play as a soldier in WW2? Well, now you can. COD 2 revolutionized the way we all played war games; it was fun to feel the action of war, without actually having the burden of being there (because, I wouldn't last a minute in real life..or even in the game...I wasn't very good). Simply titled Call Of Duty 2 (that's right kids, no Modern Warfare or Black Ops in the name), the game provided everything that the surprisingly successful first game did and more. COD 2 was instrumental in making the Call Of Duty franchise the uber-powerful giant it is today.
Best Part: Playing through the campaign with a friend who is German. Sounds weird? Well, it was.
