If theres one strong and firm reassuring positive developmental aspect that Thief has going for it, its being developed by Eidos Montreal, the team behind another successful stealth-action series reboot; Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Having never played a Thief game personally, this being a franchise reboot with modern technology and gaming conventions makes for a great jumping in point. Im definitely down for Gothic-inspired Robin Hood antics.
34. Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow 2 February 25th (PS3, 360, PC)
In 2010 Konami successfully rebooted and completely re-imagined the lore of Gabriel Belmont, along with substantial gameplay changes that had Lords of Shadow resembling a much more complex version of God of War, but with boss battles containing the scope and design of the colossi in Shadow of the Colossus. This incoming sequel will pick up after the post-credits shocking plot twist of its predecessor, promising to be even longer. It will hopefully follow in its predecessors footsteps and end up of 2014s best.
33. South Park: The Stick Of Truth March 4th (PS3, 360, PC)
This highly anticipated game has been a long time coming, so long in fact that it actually made last years countdown in the same slot of March before suffering major delays. No one has given up on The Stick of Truth though however. What South Park fan would, considering that Trey Parker and Matt Stone are legitimate gamers and still heavily involved in creating the game? Furthermore, its downright impressive just how indistinguishable the game graphics are compared to the television shows hand drawn animation. Theres also the fact that the game, as Cartman would say, looks hella cool.
