8. The Bad... BioShock 2
In BioShock, Irrational Games created one of the defining games of this generation, a triumph in storytelling where the atmosphere was just as scary as the splicers themselves. Despite this there was never really any call for a sequel, but money talks and a successful IP is rarely allowed to bow-out after its opening act. In February 2010 BioShock 2 released, not the product of Irrational Games but a raft of different studios, all thrown in to try and raise another classic form the deep. Despite being a fairly decent game on its own, this sequel simply couldn't live up to its predecessor's standards. The tacked on multiplayer did little to appease disappointed fans, and BioShock 2's hopes of recreating the same magic of the first game, were left dead in the water.
