5 Best & 5 Worst Video Game Sequels Of This Generation

7. The Good... Borderlands 2

Borderlands 2, how very relevant... yes OK you'd have to be master of self-control not to be in some way effected by the advertising blitz surrounding this game, but it really does deserve to be on this list. Borderlands managed to gain a good amount of fans with its first outing back in 2009, but it failed to break through into the realm of Triple A status due to a lack of variety and bland characters. Luckily Gearbox Software knew exactly this and set about addressing these issues in a major way with the follow up. Fantastic writing brought the world of Panadora to life and the huge selection of enemies to blast through, ensured the substantial 20-30 hours needed to complete the game felt far less of a drag. It didn't quite live up to its promise of a bazillion guns but we'll let them off, this time.
