Spymaster for the Inquisition and Left Hand of the late Divine Justinina, Leliana has been in all three of the Dragon Age games. Her appearances begin in Origins, and this is your first and last time to romance her.

Perhaps it is because of this backstory, and the interest of keeping things canon, that they removed the option of romancing her, perhaps alluding to the idea that she remains loyal to the Warden. But this is pure speculation.

Aside from this, Leliana is the kind of woman who should stand at an Inquisitor’s side. She is tactful, passionate and despite her line of work, kind. She always tries her hardest to do what is right, while remaining true to her resilient faith.

During a quest line midway through the game, you see just how far Leliana will go for a cause she believes in, even at the most detriment to herself. If you don’t get the ‘feels’ during that scene, then maybe it’s a good thing you can’t romance her.
