5 Books That Would Make Great Video Games
1. Mistborn
By far the mostly likely work of fiction to hit the gaming market soon, Mistborn author Brian Sandborn has already said he wants to work with CDPR on an adaption. He’s even offered to give them the rights for free, so much does he admire the studio and their work on The Witcher.
A Mistborn game would boast a chillingly gothic palette, as well as a large enough range of magic options that each play through would be unique. With ash constantly falling from the sky, the plants gnarled to brown and a thick eerie fog clouding the skies every night, exploring the terrain would be a tense, engaging experience every time players crossed the map.
Sandborn’s universe of Cosmere forms the setting of all his works, with each saga taking place in an entirely different solar system. This means that should a Mistborn adaption be a spellcasting success, CDPR (or whoever it may be) would be able to expand further into the Mistborn mythology or could use it as the foundation for what comes next. They could leap to another Sandborn story or even create an completely new solar system with the already established ground rules.
