5 Brilliant Directors Who Should Helm Video Game Adaptations

5. Sam Mendes - Uncharted

Uncharted.jpeg copy Cast: Drake - Bradley Cooper Elena - Jessica Biel Victor Sullivan - Liam Neeson Gabriel Roman - Ralph Fiennes Sam Mendes might be better known for "American Beauty" and "Road To Perdition" but his summer blockbuster "Skyfall" more than proves he could make a kick-ass action film. "Uncharted" is heavily inspired by "Indiana Jones" and "James Bond" so transitioning the source material wouldn't be too difficult for any would be director. Mendes is an excellent story teller and his attention to detail is second to none. Bradley Cooper has solidified himself as a genuinely superb actor in the last few years and he could take a few traits from all of his previous roles and put them into creating a believable Nathan Drake. Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes would probably steal the show and Jessica Biel would be more than comfortable as Elena. Uncharted could easily fall into most video game adaptation traps, but with Mendes steering the ship, that wouldn't happen.
