In the spirit of projects such as Danger Mouse's "The Grey Album", 2Mello chose to err on his childhood love of the Super Nintendo title Chrono Trigger and mix it with the various works of hip hop artist Shawn Corey Carter, better known as Jay-Z. The album contains fairly even mixes of Jay-Z and the works of Japanese composers Yasunori Mitsuda and Nobuo Uematsu (The Patron Saint of Final Fantasy VGM) with such tracks such as "An Encore in Time" and my personal favorite "Masamune Problems". Now, I freely admit that I have never been a traditional hip hop fan but 2Mello's work on Chrono Jigga as well as works further down the list have expanded my horizon's not only in the realm of hip hop but also the Nerd Core genre in general.
