5 Classic Games That Deserve Remakes
1. Resident Evil 2
As I completed the Resident Evil remake, I always believed they would attempt the same with Resident Evil 2. Sadly Capcom never touched it, letting Darkside Chronicles retell the events. Resident Evil was a shining example of why remakes are a good idea, showing exactly how they can improve upon its already successful formula. Like Resident Evil, the remake should expand its underlying theme of horror with game lighting and colors, redesigns of the city, revamp the music and include side-events to increase the disturbing nature of the accident. There are also a few pot holes like the opening sequence which were very peculiar. For instance, Leon and Claire both entering Raccoon City which is meant to be under martial law, excellent crowd control US army! Another is a lack of character development for Leon, Claire and any other important character in the story. Seeing scenes where Leon and Claire struggle to against the hopelessness of the city could add some real strength of character to the both of them who are essentially bio-weapon killing bad-asses in future sequels. Resident Evil 2 is the best of the franchise, if Capcom were to revisit any of their past titles, this is one they shouldn't avoid.
