5 Elder Scrolls Titles That Could Be Adapted Into A TV series

5. Oblivion

obps314B The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion is one of the most critically acclaimed games ever. With impressive graphics and game play, an engaging main quest and dozens of side-quests, an extensive array of weapons and equipment, some interesting characters and locations, there was plenty to see and do in the game. Elder Scrolls IV was set in Cydrodiil and during an event that became known as The Oblivion Crisis. The game had an impressive cast of actors including Sir Patrick Stewart, Sean Bean and Terence Stamp as Emperor Uriel Septim VII, Martin Septim and Mankar Cameron respectively. Many novels are successfully adapted into film and TV series; The Hunger Games, Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, James Bond, Silver Linings Playbook to name a few, so the same can be said for computer games; Halo: Forward Unto Dawn has been one of the few successes in adapting computer games to TV, and if done correctly Oblivion can do the same. Oblivion is a rich and diverse land that would look brilliant on the big screen or TV. The actors who lent their voice to the game could reprise their roles but the only potential issue character wise would be the protagonist and who would portray him/her. My personal choice would be an Imperial Male played by Andrew Buchan, who some may have seen portray 18th Century Barrister William Garrow in the BBC€™s Garrow€™s Law. I would also ask for a love story to be added for the protagonist to add to the story and give it a bit more emotion. I would also intertwine the main quest with some side quests for the sake of creating better episodes and sub-plots. I don€™t know who would make it but HBO would be a good choice; they made €˜Rome€™ and €˜Game of Thrones€™, both to critical acclaim so maybe they can repeat that success with Oblivion.
