5 Great 2013 Video Games That Deserve Movie Adaptations

3. Bioshock Infinite

In terms of depth and complexity of a world, that of BioShock Infinite is the top of the heap for 2013. Drawing on historical events, its own cannon, and the technology of modern times, Infinite built a game that would make an amazing movie if given the chance. The story is, at its simplest form, about a guy rescuing a girl and that's the type of thing Hollywood can really get behind. It's the setting that would make the movie special though, and with the other BioShock games as backup (plus the DLC to link it all together) there would be potential there to make a film franchise full of prequels and sequels that examine Rapture and Columbia further. This is one that we're not likely to see, and even if we did it would have to be handled the right way, but it's fun to think about. Should Look Like: The Island meets Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow - a guy and girl fight to make it out of a bad spot, all set against a unique dystopian steampunk backdrop.
