5 Great Spider-Man Video Games (And 5 That Sucked)

9. Sucked: Spider-Man 3

Spider-Man 3 had the odds stacked against it from the get-go. The Spider-Man 2 film is still regarded as one of the best superhero movies of all time. Too many cooks spoil the broth and that's exactly what happened when Spider-Man 3 hit the theaters.

It shouldn't come as a surprise that the movie's video game was just as disappointing.

Not unlike the film, the video game's predecessor was such a triumph that there was slim chance that Spider-Man 3 could top it. Even if the film itself was better, Spider-Man 2's video game was going to be hard to follow.

The game largely follows the plot of the movie with an extended story that includes new characters. Players can also wear the black suit and explore an expanded New York which were nice perks.

One of the biggest complaints of this game, however, was that it was quite different from console to console. Xbox 360 and PS3 users got a vastly better game than Wii or PS2 players. You can never please everyone, but a game should at least be comparable from system.
