4. Ezio Auditore - Assassin's Creed Revelations
Ezio Auditore da Firenze of the Assassin's Creed series is one of the coolest characters to ever be dreamed up. You have the appeal of the ancient Roman and Renaissance interwoven in the game's gripping narrative as you become a master assassin. Then it ends; the cool bits of history, art and great gameplay all ceases and becomes a case of new paint over the old hat. By the third add on game, this charming ladies man was transformed from one of the most badass game characters of this generation to literally a tired old man in his twilight years. Revelations seemed to try and erase all the fond memories we've had for this character from the awesome sequel to AC so long ago. Like Altair and Desmond Miles, Assassins Creed 3 would add to the trend of AC to produce some of the most boring and single dimensioned charters of maundering gaming, again this is probably why we like Ezio so much. Sorry, Connor was a poor replacement for Ezio and this series is on life support. We'll never forget his original journey for revenge in AC II but the series has lost its way.
