Sky force Anniversary is a must for any budding shoot ‘em up player. Players with little to no experience trying to get into the genre can step in and shoot down enemy planes without a hitch. ‘Sky force’ originally started out as an early mobile game but shouldn’t get the snub because of that fact.

Recent upgrades and ports to multiple consoles make the game memory light, quick, and easy to download. The game’s replay-ability and upgrade system is what makes it a gem. Each of the game’s 9 levels has four difficulty modes with four different proficiency medals to aim towards, effectively giving the game 36 levels.

As with any good shoot ‘em up, upgrading is huge. Stars are the currencty of ‘Sky Force’ and allow players to accumulate higher damage output from their main cannons and there secondary weapons as well as improve their ship’s defenses. Adding a friend to the mix increases the enjoyment this game brings as the multiplayer mode makes cutting through enemies even more easy. Smoth, easy to use controls as well as a straightfoward premise are what makes this game enjoyable. There are no questions asked, no arbitrary cut scenes, just good old fashioned plane shooting fun. The game itself is usually priced at $9.99 USD but makes its appearance on the sales list during peak sale months.
