5 Least Useful Items In The Legend Of Zelda Series

2. The Magic Armor - Twilight Princess

The Magic Armor represents a classic case of aesthetics being replaced for functionality and shows that just because an item has a long side quest associated with it, doesn’t mean it is good. Most ‘Zelda’ fans that have played Twilight Princess never noticed this armor option and they didn’t miss out on much. Attaining this armor comes at a price, both in actual in-game money and wasted time.

The quest for even having this armor available requires a strategy guide or a stipple artist’s attention to detail as it involves an obscure and almost impossible sequence of events. Once the armor is finally available and ready for purchase, it costs an arm and a leg to buy. However, the real kicker with the uselessness of this item comes with equipping it.

While being worn, the Magic Armor magically drains 2 rupees from Link every second. On top of that, every time that Link gets hit with an attack, the armor drains 12 additional rupees. If that wasn’t bad enough, once Link’s bank accounts run dry, Link becomes sluggish as if he is wearing iron boots on land. While the damage resistance of this armor is descent, the cost of maintaining its continued use is not worth the trouble.
