5 Most Despicable Capcom Decisions

3. We€™re In It For The Money!

Resident Evil 6 With the release of Resident Evil 6, we saw how torn people could become over one game. Some people thought the game was like a cancer on modern video games, others were saying, €œIt's definitely not as good as RE4 or 5, but still good€, and some were saying it was €œradical€. I€™m not going to take sides, but it€™s not a stretch to say the game was not very Resident Evil. Okay, this is a business move, and it makes sense when you think about it; should they make a game that will sell to a small demographic or make a game that anyone would/can pick up and play? It seems like an easy choice, but to me represents something. While I do believe that video games, much like movies, music, and comics, is art, Capcom doing this move, says to me that they have no interest in art of any kind. So, games are just tools to make money? I understand this idea, it just seems so odd that when some game companies and designers are trying to push for this media to be considered art, Capcom proves that it can just be about cash. Are they wrong in that decision? Not for me to say.
