1. Batman: Arkham Origins
Platforms: X360, PS3, Wii U
Release: 25th Oct (worldwide) WB Studios Montreal take on Rocksteady's Arkham series in the prequel, Batman: Arkham Origins. This open-world game includes a younger Batman, a Christmas Eve setting and a map that is twice as big as Arkham City. The plot revolves around a group of assassins trying to take out the Bat, with a cast including Deathstroke, Black Mask, Mad Hatter and, of course, the Joker. While everything we've seen of the game looks good, and it seems it will live up to Rocksteady's standards, it is hard not to be slightly cautious of WB Games Montreal's take on the series. Their credits are sparse, being a relatively new studio, handling the Wii U port of Arkham City and something called Cartoon Universe on PC. Let's keep an open mind, however, when Batman: Arkham Origins releases at the end of the month. So, there we have it. What games are you looking forward to in October?
