5 Obvious Video Game Remakes The Industry Is Ignoring

1. Resident Evil 4

Resident Evil 4 draws criticism, not for being a bad game, but being the game that started the transition of Resident Evil transforming from traditional survival-horror to action-horror. And although RE5 and RE6 suffered at the hands of this direction, it has to be said that Resident Evil 4 struck the balance perfectly.

Sure, there are some cheesy B-movie quips and moments throughout the game, Leon has an Indiana Jones moment and the incessant whining that is Ashley. But RE4 offers far more in terms of a rich and immersive experience.

Although, much like Skyrim, we have seen Resident Evil 4 make its way onto almost every gaming platform around today, the game is undeniably in need of a remake.

Clunky controls, questionable graphics and dodgy companion AI (Yes you Ashley) tarnishes what was once a beautiful and immersive experience. Resident Evil 4 done in the RE Engine the way that Resident Evil 2 and 3 have been done would be perfect, with the chainsaw ganado operating on the Mr X mechanic as well? Yes please.

It is also worth noting that Resident Evil 4 is reportedly on its way to being remade, but until we have official word, Resident Evil 4 Remake will remain in the realm of dreams.
