5 Problems With Buying A Console At Launch That I Didn't Anticipate

1. Lack Of Games

Call Of Duty Ghosts Though this is perhaps the most obvious one, it's also the biggest. And truthfully? I kind of feel like an idiot for the oversight. It goes without saying that a new console is going to have very few games in the launch window, and that it's likely going to take the better part of a year for anything worthwhile to land in the hands of gamers. Still, in looking at the catalogue in the months leading up to launch, I felt like I'd be more than equipped to fill my time into 2014. Then Watch Dogs was pushed back and I had to get the port of Assassin's Creed 4 for my story fix, and when I didn't enjoy it I was up the creek without a paddle in sight. Thankfully the turn of the calendar can only rectify those problems, with games like EA Sports' UFC and The Order 1886 coming and a bunch more as the year slogs on. Still, it's been a lonely road with only FIFA to give me my gaming enjoyment in this generation so far.
