5 Reasons You Should Have Already Pre-Ordered Titanfall

1. This Game Will Change The Face Of First-Person-Shooters

Titanfall6 As someone who has played the game, the Pilot gameplay, the first person shooter aspect of the game, is the bread-and-butter, the pièce de résistance, of Titanfall. The most prominent features are the parkour and jump-jet mechanics introduced for the pilots. This simple addition creates a massive amount of new possibilities when it comes to the positioning of the player. Instead of being stuck to the ground, helpless to anyone who may be looking down on you from above, you can zip around, jumping from wall to wall, travelling across the map without ever touching the ground. What was once a safe place to hide becomes an easily breachable vulnerability as you jump into the window of a 3 storey building and shotgun down that enemy suppressing the rest of your team. You could argue that this kind of thing has been around for years, with rocket jumps being insanely popular in first-person-shooters since Quake, and more recently being able to jet-pack around the map in Halow. However, the difference is that these maps are designed for such a multitude of gameplay styles that synchronise beautifully together to form a catacomb of routes and sightlines. Mastering the parkour and jump-jet abilities is no easy task, yet it is so addictive that you will find yourself happy to meet that challenge. Map knowledge will be king in Titanfall, tactics will become even more important. What I would give to see this game become a competitive e-Sport. So, in conclusion, if you are a fan of shooters, I implore you to at least check out Titanfall and see for yourself what it has to offer. And, if you disagree with any of my points or feel like I've missed something, be sure to leave a comment below!
