5 Reasons Heavy Rain Is Actually Just Utter Rubbish

3. This All Sounds A Bit FrenchHeavy Rain Ps3 600x300 Quantic Dream is a company based in France and that is in no way a bad thing. There's also no reason that this should be a problem. Because when you set a game like Heavy Rain in America (and there are numerous references to where it is set), surely you should cast people that are fit for the role. Pascal Langdale is a great French actor, but when he speaks Ethan's lines, it makes the character sound bizarrely emotionless in the face of his son's imminent death. Likewise Jayden and especially Lauren's voice actors are just French through and through. It seems like a bit of a dick move to call the game out on this, but it only adds to the disconnect I felt when playing the game. And that's before I even talked about those bloody kids voices. Just bizarre.
