5 Reasons Horizon Zero Dawn Could Underwhelm

4. Repetitive Combat

Even if the AI is as intelligent as gameplay footage suggests, combat looks like it could get a little repetitive over time.

Horizon isn't the first game to promise multiple ways of approaching battles or stealth missions, but few execute the game in such a way that players are forced to try different methods on different playthroughs.

Horizon has huge potential for not only utilising well placed set-pieces to spring traps on herds of dangerous robots, but has a deep development tree for customising weapons and skill traits. Hopefully the missions will be varied enough that we are encouraged to use all the skills and weapon types available, and don't just end up hacking our way through every combatant we find.
