5 Reasons Why The PS4 Controller Is The Ultimate Improvement

2. A New Definition For "Trigger Fingers"

Ps4 Trigger Anyone remember the L2 and R2 triggers from the previous DualShocks? Remember how they had a sleight bump at the bottom tip, which could result in the slipping of your finger if you were too fast on jumping/driving/throwing grenades/pulling the trigger? Yeah, I remember it just clearly as I myself still struggle, especially with FPS's. It would seem that with the release of the PS4, Sony realised this issue and looked to exploit it in the redesign of the the last generation DualShocks. With the DualShock 4 comes an improvement that trumps any redesign in the past decade: Sony' reimagining to the L2/R2 triggers. Now supporting a finger guard that firmly cradles the fingers and prevents them from slipping, the new trigger guards are just what Sony needed to reconfigure their controller to the maximum. When I first held the PS4 controller to see the difference from the DualShock 3 I was immediately impressed with triggers, for they were the very first thing I concentrated on. I wanted Sony to aim for better triggers, and that they did. As long-time PlayStation follower, I'm delightedly proud to see the improvement I believe we all wanted to see come to fruition.
