5 Reasons We Don't Need or Want a Mass Effect MMO

5. There's So Much More That Can Be Done

If Bioware does continue, and this should, keep going with the TPS and RPG genre, there are so many new features they could implement. More melee features like different weapons and knife combat, breaching moves and more tactical controls are just a few ideas that Bioware could put into a new third person shooter. Or they could push the free roaming elements. Previous games used hub worlds like the Citadel and Omega as places to let us understand the story more, and just to explore for the fun of it. Seen the Watch Dogs demo? A stealthy play style in the series would be great, with our new character moving through dynamic crowds and silently stabbing enemies. Or a massive biotic focus with us blowing people away right, left and centre. There are just so many ways Bioware could involve their gameplay, so it would just be an insane move to throw out this style of gameplay. So there's just a few ways a Mass Effect MMO would be destined to fail. The simple way of putting it is: We, as ME fans, do not want an MMO. We want a Frostbite 2 powered, massive open tactical shooter, not pointing at random Krogan and clicking until some numbers fly up. I envision a new dark, gritty direction, and while it likely won't happen my way, it couldn't work as an MMO. Do you want a new shooter, or MMO, or maybe something different? Let us know.

I live in Australia, love to write and play games. So what better than writing about games? I love all things action and fantasy, as well as my occasional shooter. I literally cannot wait for GTAV!
