3. Gamer Security?
In April of 2011, PS3 players across the globe received a huge scare. Hackers had succeeded to break into the Playstation Network compromising each customers credit card info. Not only had hackers been able to log in to other accounts but now they had access to each users financial info. Gamers had never experienced a cyber attack through their consoles before and this situation made it difficult to trust Sony again. This was a public relations nightmare. The Playstation Network went out of commission while Sony tried to find a way to make it up to their scarred PS3 loyalists. Sony claimed they had fixed the breach, but sadly the network was hacked into again in October. After the dust settled, Sony paid a whopping $170 million to secure the network once again.
