2. Characters
There are many characters that play a vital role in the series, but let's start off with a very peculiar individual known as Captain Copernicus Leslie Qwark; a joke of a superhero, a complete idiot who cares only about money and publicity. Qwark is a constant headache for our heroes and a massive pain in the backside, but I'm sure that he'll be an instant hit with you gamers, simply because he is without doubt one of the funniest characters in the franchise. Next is the stereotypical robotic mad scientist, Dr Nefarious, whose mission in life is to rid the universe of all organic life, or "squishies" as he would say. Nefarious is fueled by his hatred of Captain Qwark, and the two share a long history of confrontation, with Ratchet & Clank seemingly caught in the middle of the feud. To sum up the character in a few words: vengeful, eccentric and hysterical, and his common sense is questionable at times. Last but not least is General Alister Azimuth, a fellow Lombax like Ratchet who was a mighty soldier for his race and played a big part in the great war between the Lombaxes and the evil Cragmites. What makes him such a special character is his personal story; it's more serious and meaningful than most characters in the series, and explores why he was left behind by the Lombaxes.
