5 Reasons You Should Be Playing Gone Home Right Now

4. It's A Haunting Love Story

Now anyone reading that last point may have drawn from it that Gone Home is a horror. Well, no not really. Gone Home is a passive narrative experience, a story told through voiceover and notes that you find throughout the house. And once you start gathering these items, you realise that the house is maybe unsettling for a different reason. Gone Home is one of the best video game love stories that I have ever played. Yep, that's right. A lot of Gone Home hinges on the romantic entanglement of your character's younger sister with another girl from her school. It's a captivating tale, brought to life by some superior voiceover work. The whole thing is made that much stronger by the feeling that you are walking around in a horror genre and this shouldn't really be happening. Gone Home is something to surprise you, and capture your heart in the process.
