5 Recent Gaming Rumors For Microsoft In Early 2014
2. Halo Being Delayed Until 2015
Another NeoGAF rumor going around that has Halo fans talking just as much as the Halo 2: Anniversary Edition is the possibility of Halo (5?) being delayed back into 2015, without a specific date to follow. During the Xbox One reveal Microsoft clearly made it discernible that Halo (5?) was coming in 2014 (the reveal trailer even said so). So why, after so much promise and intrigue, would the game be delayed into 2015, possibly a whole year from its original announcement? Inquisitor, a site dedicated to gaming news and announcements, covered a story on the situation over Halo (5?). According to their sources, they've said:
"There were hints that the Halo 5 release date might be postponed when the game failed to make Microsoft's official Xbox One 2014 games list."
As it turns out, the following presumption of Halo (5?) not making the 2014 games list was also not true according to Rob Semsey, Halo PR manager. As his quote states on Inquisitor's article:
"Xbox Wire today mentioned a few 2014 titles; Halo on Xbox One was not listed due to official name of the next title not announced yet. Rest assured, your next Halo journey WILL begin in 2014. #staycalm."
Semsey seemed rather confident in his posture when he said, "your next Halo journey WILL being in 2014", even going so far as to apply the hashtag #staycalm as the cherry on top. So should we worry about Halo (5?) being delayed into 2015? The verdict says no on this rumor. Only with an official release date from Microsoft or 343 Industries will we ever know the true answer to all the Halo riddles.
