5 Star Wars Games That Should Have Been Great But Sucked

4. Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=myxfk_ZakK0 This visually slicker sequel to Star Wars: Starfighter maybe one of the biggest missed opportunities on the list. Based on Star Wars Episode 2, the player takes the role of Adi Gallia, a Jedi, through fifteen missions in order to combat the evil of the Trade Federation. It is a cool idea, and I enjoyed the experience of exploring the universe established in Episode II. Yet it is very samey. It is a recycled, but updated, version of the Starfighter formula. The Jedi Starfighter craft used in the game are more swift and stealthy than those of the original but the gameplay is the same, and the missions are repetitive. While the selling point of the game, the Force powers are not everything that they are cracked up to be. The Force lightning saps the power systems of enemy ship. The Force shield deflects laser blasts. And the Force reflex puts the world in slow motion. This is kind of cool... I guess. http://youtu.be/1L38X53C_mk Jedi Starfighter is a very good Star Wars air/space combat game, with great graphics for its time and nice controls, but no radar. I guess the Jedi don't need that tool. The updates are nice, but again it feels like DLC additions as they are rather small changes. At no point did I feel like I got value for money of the original price tag. You can buy this one cheap now, and you'll see for yourself.
