5 Things Insomniac's Spider-Man PS4 Sequel MUST Have
3. More Miles
A coming of age story is what the Spider-Verse is all about at its core, and what better way to exemplify that than with more development for a particular wall-crawling protégé?
Miles Morales had excellent characterization in Spider-Man PS4, though that was mainly to establish his motivations and what drives him to help Peter. For a second spin in that world, it would be wise of Insomniac to take full advantage of his newfound abilities and thrust him out into a New York once again under siege; only this time, as with 2018's Into the Spider-Verse, he's learning how to use his powers under the tutelage of a hopefully less grumpy Peter Parker.
Switching between them in large battles à la Batman: Arkham Knight would allow newfound variety in a combat system that was already renowned for its fluidity, and just imagine the costume possibilities. The first game teased this so it's a very logical possibility, but Miles's inclusion would genuinely make for a rich story that is unique to Spider-Man and make the gameplay and combat significantly deeper.
So really, it's a win-win, and the popularity of the 2018 film only makes this much likelier.
