5 Things Nintendo Can Do Differently

1. Change The Controller

Throughout the years, Nintendo has gone beyond normal when it comes to controllers. Dating back to the N64 controller, it was a 3 pronged mess of a controller that was usually awkward to hold, and frustrating as a gamer. Following that, the GameCube controller was (In my opinion) the most comfortable controller I've ever held. That's coming from a Sony guy. I love my Playstation products, but will gladly take a GameCube controller of it any day. But then with the Wii, it was just a remote. Simply dubbed the WiiMote, it turned out to really be a fairly easy controller to use. However, some still complained, and a regular style controller was released. That's what they need. No more gimmicky controllers, especially with what they cooked up with the Wii U. It is quite possibly the worst controller I've ever had to hold. Then again, it has to be a tie between that and the N64. Just the fact of having a second screen on your controller is a little strange to me. I understand wanting a very in-depth experience for your users, but there comes a time when you just need to do the norm. The Wii U Pro controller takes you back to an XBOX 360-like way of play. That's how it should've been when it was released. I will praise the fact that you can use it while a loved one wants to watch TV. That's something I do with my PS4, and on my Vita now. When the fiancee wants to watch her TLC shows, I just simply sit back and go on my awesome portable device. So, in turn I can see why people love that about the controller, and can't knock it for that. But some people don't like having that huge screen on their controller. That idea works on the Vita because they simply used the screen for it. A controller shouldn't have a screen like that. Make the 3DS into a portable Wii U, and you're on to something. Throughout the years, Nintendo has left fans in amazement, and some in disbelief. But, to me I'll always have a soft spot for the NES, and GameCube. These are just suggestions that I hope Nintendo will take. Odds are they won't, but it's nice just to see what they can do. That's all I got for you guys, thanks for reading!
