5 Things Nintendo Can Do Differently

2. Add More Apps

huluplus In a world that is ever-changing with technology, these gaming systems aren't even gaming systems anymore. Nowadays, they are one-stop entertainment hubs, and Microsoft essentially made that clear when they announced details of the Xbox One. Not that there is nothing wrong with that, but why not add to that? It took Nintendo this long just to get Hulu Plus. On the contrary, Hulu Plus was ready at launch for PS4 and Xbox One. But, that's not it. Some of the apps that they have, some can argue are moderately bizarre. SwapNote, an app that users exchange 3D messages to each other, is featured on the application page of Nintendo. It seems that their heart is in the right place, but mindset isn't. What about having a Gaming news app instead? Better yet, have the Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, etc. Type apps. But then, also have dedicated gaming apps, and focus in on being a gaming console. Maybe if they become more dedicated to having gaming apps, that could be a big benefit. Now it's time for a disclaimer: I don't own a Nintendo product, and I'm giving my own subjective opinion. They might, and I'm not saying they don't. But it's just what I can research.
