5 Totally Insane Video Game Bonus Levels

5. Resident Evil 4: Shooting Gallery

ShooterMinigame After its days on the original PlayStation, Resident Evil 4 began a new trend among the later titles of polished environments, and a more visually appealing game - at the cost of not being scary at all. There, I said it. Resident Evil 4 saw the uncannily cool-headed Leon S. Kennedy investigate a group called the Ganados, parasite-infected villagers under the control of Ramon Salazar, who reside in a rural area infested with all manner of infected villagers, animals, and bioweapons (Read: big, freaky, unnatural enemies that want to kill you). However, one quirk in the game was the ability to purchase supplies from a merchant who never seemed too concerned with the events unfolding around him - however, his largest presence was felt when Leon entered Salazar's castle, and found the merchant, casually offering Leon a go at his shooting range - in the aforementioned castle full of Los Illuminados cultists, chainsaw-wielding freaks, two huge El Gigantes, and a slew of other monstrosities waiting to give Leon a dose of unhealthy disrespect... this guy has causally set up shop and apparently not been noticed.

The object of the little minigame was to achieve a certain amount of points by hitting enemy targets and avoiding the ones that looked like the president's daughter, Ashley. Doing so gave you bottlecaps (the game's trinkets), and Pesetas, the currency of the game which could be used to buy more stuff.

Which brings me to the obvious question: how the hell did the merchant run that place?
