5 Ups & 5 Downs From Destiny: Rise Of Iron

3. The Trudge From Light Level 350 On

Never before has levelling up in Destiny been this much of a chore - and yes I am including when Radiant Shards and Etheric Light were main parts of the game. Once you hit light level 350 be prepared to level up slow, very slow. While this was more than likely done on purpose to slow players down who usually burn through new Destiny content, it has done nothing more than become a nuisance.

It's a lot of numbers and a lot of knowing what drops from what activity, but in a nutshell most rewards from activities will either be at your light level or 1-2 above where you're at. This makes for a long and arduous process to level up. And since this starts at 350 and it's recommended for you to be 370 to enter the raid, it makes it feel like it will be forever before you can even get there.

Everything about leveling up now relies on random drops and hoping you get the drop you need, not to mention how annoying it is to level up your Ghost or Artifact. I'm currently sitting at light level 364, and that's after HOURS of playing the Heroic Strike playlist; the only place that essentially guarantees rewards.

Maybe I'm incredibly unlucky in Destiny, or increasing light levels has just become too strenuous.
