5 Video Games The Media Always Get Wrong (And 5 That Could Change Their Minds)

4. Mortal Kombat

This game is extremely gruesome, and I mean extremely gruesome: have you seen Noob Saibots fatality? It is pictured above with an awesome and accurate reaction shot from the crew over on Video Games Awesome. Enough said. However, is it really worthy of all the hate? Of all the games on the list it is absolutely the most unrealistic. The game responsible for creating the ratings system is always prominently featured in those violent video game montages, while reporters voice-over words like €œhorrific€ and the always favorite €œstealing our children€™s youth and innocence." Nevermind the fact that no children should be playing this game in the first place. In all honesty, does anybody in their right mind, kid or not, think they can rip someone€™s spine clean out of their body, or rip someone completely in half? And if by some miracle your kid manages to do so, call the government - there is something in your water that has clearly made your kid a superhuman. Here's that amazing reaction in real time at around the 7-minute mark. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=15rzDILThNk
