5 Ways To Kill Time Waiting For The Xbox One & PS4 Release Days

4. Emergency Purchases

Discounted Video Games I'm sure we've all been there. You enter your gaming area, confident you'll find something to play. You then perch on the end of your chair, staring at your game collection, silently willing something to appeal. Do you play that game you hardly played? Nah, that was rubbish. Do you play something you played and loved? Nah, it's too soon and you can remember most of it in detail. After an hour or so of constant staring, you may find yourself giving up. Don't do it! Instead, acquire some nice snuggly clothing, pop on your bobble hat and mittens, and brave the cold weather to travel down the shops (unless, of course, you live in Australia, cause that would mean you'd be slowly baking to death). Game shops in particular are a haven for cheap games. There's bound to be something you missed and wanted that's still down there. Why not go pick up a great RPG like Lost Odyssey, or - alternatively - the epic shooter, Brink? I jest about the last one. If you still have access to older consoles, you can delve into the super-bargain PS2 and original Xbox sections to find a cheap classic. Last year, I invested in Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 for the measly price of just £2, so there are certainly things to find. If it requires too much effort to drag yourself down to the game shop, why not use your console of choice's extensive online services to grab a classic? The PSN is packed full of PS One and PS2 games to enjoy, so get downloading those. Finally, you might consider staring at your games until they start to speak to you. The men in nice white coats will then be along shortly to move you to new lodgings.
