6 Common RPG Character Cliches And The Disorders They Suffer From

3. Distant, But Strong Female Character Trying To Prove Her Power

Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder (Extremely dedicated to work, meticulous about ethics and values, unwilling to pass on tasks, stubborn) Patients: Ashe (FFXII), Lightning (FFXIII), Naoto (Persona 4), Paine (FFX-2), Mitsuru (Persona 3) Somewhat of a new cliche, this character is making her way into RPGs everywhere as a result of shifting gender roles. She lacks any sort of cuteness or emotional attachment previously required in female characters and holds herself to be very masculine. She's a leader, she has ethics, and she won't put up with anything less than perfect. In fact, if something doesn't go her way, she breaks down and vows not to let the same thing happen again. The good news is, she doesn't feel the need to scrub every imperfection from her body - like she has any. This girl is usually gorgeous with a sense of timeless beauty so she doesn't have to care for her looks. The only thing she does cares about is her mission and its completion. It's surprising that she actually has party members at all.
