6 Most Unlikely Guest Characters In Fighting Games

4. Pac-Man/Mega Man (Street Fighter X Tekken)

Apparently not content with bringing together the worlds of Street Fighter and Tekken in a fighting game for the first time, Capcom also included five guest characters that were exclusive to the PS3 version of the game. A couple of these made a lot of sense in context, such as Cole MacGrath from the Infamous series or Sony mascots Toro and Kuro.

A guy with electricity powers or some cartoon-style cats don't look so silly going one-on-one with Ryu or Jin, but for many including Pac-Man was a real jumping the shark moment. He does at least have some kind of ties to the Tekken franchise, as he appears to be piloting some kind of robotic version of Mokujin from Tekken 3.

Mega Man, though... defending his presence in the game is slightly more difficult. Clearly a joke character, his distinctly humanoid design is based off of the now infamous North American box art for the original Mega Man back in 1987. None other than Keiji Inafune himself suggested this specific version of Mega Man to feature in the game, I can only assume because he lost a bet or had some kind of lapse in judgement.
