6 Possibilities For Yuke's New Wrestling Video Game IP

No, not just MyCareer as a full game. This concept could be done similarly to how NCAA Football used to allow you to import your created characters into a draft class. The new IP can be your journey leading up to the start of MyCareer in WWE 2K20. This leaves the door wide open for where to go with this.

You can have the player start out in wrestling school, learning the basics and just getting his start similar to MDickie's Wrestling MPire: Career Edition. Or you can be blazing a trail through the independent scene one big match at a time. You could even leave the decision up to the player like Madden's "draft round" system. Let them choose what starting point they want. Do they want a rookie, an up and comer, or a grizzled veteran?

There is just so much more freedom to explore than what is given by the confines of the WWE games. And Yuke's seems to really want to push creativity and progression in this franchise forward and this could be a nice kickstart to that. It can only improve and expand upon what we get in MyCareer going forward.

And with a destination of landing in NXT to kick off 2K20's MyCareer and a heavy dose of microtransactions they could have easily sold this concept to the WWE and 2K. No matter the outcome, what we want has to equal to a lot of what they want: money.
