6 Reasons Pokémon X And Y Are The Best Generation Of Pokemon Yet

5. Battle Scenes

2pokemon X And Y In previous Pokémon games, the battle scene would have a sprite (moving pixelated image) of a Pokémon, and indicate different forms of movement implying what action took place. This satisfied fans for the most part in the past, but in this edition Nintendo takes Pokémon battles a step further. Many people remember Pokémon Colosseum for the Gamecube, the battles in X and Y are very similar, and better yet, in 3D. The 3D battle scenes contribute to making the game more realistic. Pokémon are no longer just cartoons, them being in 3D gives them the illusion of being more tangible. This can, at times, make battles more personal, and makes me hate Nurse Joy even more for saying "We hope to see you again." Every move has its own animation, and you can actually see Pokémon inflict damage on one another. What is cooler than seeing Pokémon beat the tar out of each other?! Hopefully Cockfights stop, and people start betting on Pokémon battles instead.
