3. So Many Pokémon!
Fans of the original Pokémon tend to disagree with having such a vast number of Pokémon, since it is now nearly impossible to "catch them all". But I refer back to making the game as realistic as possible. Creating the Pokémon franchise is creating a world. Since 1996, the world of Pokémon has grown, enabling us to discover new regions, and discover new Pokémon. Catching them all today is the equivalent of Noah getting two of every animal on his ark. Catching them all is just something that people do for self satisfaction. The true meaning of Pokémon to me, though, lies in the first two verses of the theme song. "I wanna be the very best, that no one ever was to catch them is my real test, to train them is my cause!" Today, unless some people actually catch them all (which I don't doubt at all) no Pokémon game is alike. When you select and train your party, you make a bond with them. It is really hard to let go of a game, because you worked hard to train them. The only Pokémon you ever really use are the six in your party.
