6 Reasons We’re All Sick Of Call of Duty

1. A Nigh-Impenetrable Multiplayer

Call of Duty Call of Duty seems to exist on its own island these days when it comes to its online multiplayer, so disciplined and refined are its participants that only those who have chosen to dedicate hours learning the difference between ACOG and HAMR optical scopes have the wherewithal to keep playing. There€™s not a whole lot that can be done about Call of Duty€™s online reputation, and nay should there be that wouldn€™t do a disservice to those that have dedicated many years perfecting the exact frame of animation with which to click the melee button, or where to station themselves to avoid detection from all but the most ardent scenery-scourers. For the rest of us though, it€™s an exercise in seeing how long you can last before being seared to ribbons by an enemy stationed across the map (probably removing your jugular with one of the aforementioned scopes, no less). Whilst Ghosts introduces a Squads mode that allows you to practice with A.I opponents before taking on the veterans, it feels something more akin to poking a slightly peeved cat before taking on a snarling group of Burmese tigers. So what did you guys make of the latest instalment? Did you love it just as much as every year, or are the annual release dates finally creating some serious series fatigue? Let us know in the comments, and feel free to dive into story spoilers for the entire franchise!
