6 Things You Need To Know About WWE 2K18 Career Mode

2. Updated Promo System

2K experimented with a brand new promo system last year, and while it was a nice idea, it failed to deliver on the publishers' promise of a more interactive experience. Players had just four different dialogue choices for each scenario, promoting their CAW to deliver an unvoiced, text-based rant, populated by some of the most distractingly awful dialogue you'll ever encounter. It was a mess, basically.

They're promising "two clear improvements" for 2K18, the first of which is a new set of Superstar animations. As per 2K's write-up, nearly 200 new movements have been added, meaning that wrestlers like Bray Wyatt, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Enzo Amore will behave much like they do in real-life. 2K want it to feel as though you're trading words with the wrestlers themselves, not poorly realised digital copies.

Scording has also been revamped. 2K are cognisant that players were forced into choices they didn't want to make just to score relevant face/heel points last year, so they've done away with the old system. Now, promos will be scored depending on how true Superstars are to their original point, with 2K claiming it's all about "saying what you want to say and sticking to your word."
