The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is one of the worst games Marvel's wall-crawler has ever had the displeasure of headlining. Evidently rushed out and given no attention after Activision's licensing agreement with Marvel had come to an end, the movie tie-in was released to little fanfare, given a critical kicking and immediately lining the walls of second-hand shops everywhere.

The game looked as bad as it was to play, with Spidey himself looking like a plastic toy and the skyscrapers of New York resembling little more than drab, cardboard boxes. Everything, from the swinging to the empty streets felt lifeless, especially in comparison to the previous game which never looked anywhere near as sterile.

What makes this comparison even worse though, was that The Amazing Spider-Man 2 came out on the current generation of consoles, yet somehow managed to look worse than the original (pictured below) which debuted in the Xbox 360 era.
