7 Beloved Video Game Franchises That Are Stuck In A Rut

6. Pro Evolution Soccer

There have only ever been two real heavyweights when it comes to football games: FIFA and Pro Evolution Soccer a.k.a. PES. Throughout the years, the two have traded blows and fans on both sides have rambled on and on about which is better. At this point in time, FIFA is on top and it has been for a while. It looks amazing, sounds awesome and pretty much anyone can pick it up and start playing. PES is regarded as something of a 'hipster option' for those who don't care that some Premier League sides are called West Midlands Village or Merseyside Red (answers on a postcard if you can guess who they are). But EA have become sloppy, and PES should be there to pick up the pieces. Just a few weeks ago, FIFA players were screaming out because EA patched Ultimate Team and apparently "ruined" the game in the process. #RIPFUT trended worldwide on Twitter and EA are still getting tons of abuse because of it. Meanwhile, Konami has sat in the shadows trying to tempt people from afar, when they should be stepping out into the limelight, screaming and shouting about how good their game is. Yes it may not look as nice but it really is a damn good football game.
