7 Brilliant Platformers You Have Got To Play

1. Rayman Legends

Rayman has to be one of the most beloved characters ever created: he's funny, dextrous and surprisingly badass all at the same time, despite what should be a limiting lack of limbs. Even despite that, the series took a downfall turn until it was saved by Origins, which reintroduced Ray to the younger audiences with somewhat easier levels (it didn't really get hard until you unlocked Land Of The Livid Dead) and a new, fresh design. It was a great game in every way, and we PC gamers were honoured with playing it on our favourite platform - a feat nobody had seen coming. Things were looking good again until Rayman Legends got released. Then, everything went sky high. Sure, there were some technical difficulties, but it has been worth it. Legends sports a higher difficulty, some absolutely fantastic levels and gameplay decisions, and frankly, it is awesome. This is the game that brought Ray and his crew back for real, and this time they're here to stay. Visually, Legends outperforms Origins by a mile, with even better animations (drawn with hand) and color fidelity, as well as with numerous 3D additions making the levels even richer and more interesting. The most important thing is that the levels feel vastly different one from another - this makes the gameplay more inventive while retaining the charm captured by Origins. There is a specially designed Kung Foot multiplayer mode, daily challenge levels, a LOAD of collectibles and more. The game is filled to the brim with things to do and stuff to complete.
