2. Shrek 4-D Replacement - Universal Orlando Resort
Back on 9th January we said goodbye to the green ogre himself with the closure of Shrek 4-D. The attraction had some great moments but the time had come for Shrek to move out of Production Central.
Quickly we saw the sign come down and construction walls go up. What was on the walls has caused a great deal of interest amongst park fans.
The construction walls around what was Shrek 4-D and the since closed Monsters Cafe are adorned with images of Minions. Shrek 4-D and Monsters Cafe are both opposite Despicable Me Minion Mayhem so perhaps the little yellow characters are just there for that reason... or they could indicate something else.
Rumours have been circulating that Minions might be getting another attraction at the entrance to the park. Universal have not confirmed the rumours but have left teasing images and videos of bananas (a Minions favourite) around the area.
As of yet we don't know for certain what is coming to replace Shrek 4-D but with work truly underway, it shouldn't be long before we find out.
