7 Games You Didn't Realise Were Playing You

5. The Walking Dead

The Telltale Walking Dead games love to force you into making tough decisions in tense, life or death situations and giving you about 20 seconds to make them. At several points The Walking Dead asks you whether some lives are worth more than others. You forge relationships with other characters through a series of dialogue choices and genuinely feel like you've bonded with the other people in your group of survivors. Then, all of a sudden, the game throws you into a situation in which you have decide whether to let them die in order to save the rest of your group. Ultimately, The Walking Dead confronts and confounds you with your own moral compass. If all of that wasn't difficult enough, at the end of each chapter you're shown statistics of how other players responded to the same decisions. There's never been an easier to compare how much of a terrible person you are to the rest of the world.
