Ninja Theory still is on the receiving end of an onslaught of hate for their envisioning of Dantes more edgy and punkish personality. Its something I feel is totally unwarranted and out of control too; I actually liked the reboot and its more Western inspired boss battles. Fox News satirical persona Bob Barbas stands out amongst those for a variety of reasons. On one hand hes an actual character that gets some decent screen time slandering Dante, promoting God, fear mongering the audience into believing terrorists are afoot; you know, the typical schlock you see on Fox News. The boss battle itself is just excellently designed too and propels the whole affair. It takes place in some ridiculously colorful demonic version of a news broadcasting room that simply looks awesome. Meanwhile, Bob himself is just a giant floating head that shoots out all sorts of hazardous objects to platform around. In between rounds, you also fight numerous Stygian with the games camera positioned from an airborne helicopter in live feed mode. Everything about this battle just eloquently flows together, making for a memorable sequence in an otherwise average game.
